Street Rod Builders have always used the early style GM 1-wire 10/21SI Alternator. Now there is a much higher output / more robust alternative for those building more technologically advanced rods. This unit will replace any 10/12SI alternator where the stock upper (steel) mounting bracket is no longer used. Most customers already use an adjustable rod adjuster. â
We need to know if you plan to use the original 2-wire GM alternator plug, and if so – if it is LAMP or IGNITION turn on. We will provide the plug for it as needed.
If you are building a car with no wiring we can provide the plug, which just requires you to run a key On/Off power source to the alternator, or a SELF Exciting or 1-wire regulator, so you can do whatever works best.
